Kathleen Kobashi, Chair of the Department of Urology at Houston Methodist Hospital in Texas, specializes in the treatment of urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, neuromodulation, and pelvic prolapse in both men and women. With a focus on patient perspectives and clinical outcomes, her research centers around the treatment of pelvic floor disorders. With 14 years of experience as the Section Head of Urology and Renal Transplantation at Virginia Mason Medical Center, as well as the Director of VM's Pelvic Floor Center, Dr. Kobashi brings a wealth of knowledge to her current role. She obtained her B.A. from Wellesley College and her M.D. from Hahnemann University in Philadelphia. Following her urologic residency at the University of California, Irvine, she completed a fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS) at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles before joining Virginia Mason in 1999. Dr. Kobashi is currently pursuing her Executive MBA at the University of Michigan.
