I grew up in central New York State and obtained a Bachelor of Science from the State University of New York at Albany, majoring in biology and minoring in chemistry. Following this, I earned a Doctor of Medicine from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine, graduating with Honors. I completed an Internship at University Hospital Syracuse Health Science Center in New York, selected by the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Subsequently, I pursued residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, where I received recognition for my teaching abilities, academic performance, surgical skills, and leadership. After completing my residency, I served as a staff Obstetrician and Gynecologist in the United States Air Force, achieving the rank of Major. During my time in the Air Force, I obtained certification from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Following my military service, I returned to Houston and founded The Center for Women's Sexual Health, the only center on the Gulf Coast dedicated to researching and treating women's sexual health and pelvic pain. I have assisted numerous women and couples in overcoming these challenging healthcare issues. My research has been published and presented at national medical meetings and in medical literature. To further enhance my expertise in pelvic health, I pursued fellowship training in female urology and voiding dysfunction at the Scott Department of Urology at Baylor College of Medicine. Under the guidance of Dr. Rodney Appell, a renowned Urologist and pioneer in the field, I gained unique skills and perspectives that few Gynecologists have the opportunity to acquire. After Dr. Appell's passing, I continued my training at Vanguard Urologic Institute in Houston and was entrusted with leading the Rodney A. Appell, MD Center for Continence and Pelvic Health. Following a successful tenure in this leadership role, I joined Park Plaza Hospital to establish and head the Pelvic Health Center. In 2013, I became Board Certified in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery, and I maintain my Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology, as well as my certification in sexual health. In May 2015, I founded Greater Houston Urogyn, a referral-based practice specializing in women's pelvic health issues, including urinary continence and bladder function, pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic pain, and sexual health. To complement my expertise in pelvic health, I have recently introduced the MonaLisa Touch and
