OVERVIEW
With over 20 years of experience, I have been practicing in the field of gynecology since 1996. I joined the Scripps Clinic Medical Group in 1999 and have held various leadership roles within Scripps Health. Currently, I serve as the Director of the Scripps Fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery and Chairman of Graduate Medical Education at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla. I am also the Director of the Section of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery and Post-Graduate Medical Education in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Scripps Clinic. In addition to my roles at Scripps, I hold academic appointments as an Adjunct Associate Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the same institution. I have also served as an Assistant Clinical Professor and Clinical Instructor at the University of California San Diego (UCSD). I am an active member of several professional societies, including the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the Southwest Obstetrical & Gynecologic Society, the International Pelvic Pain Society, and the International Society for the Study of Vulvovaginal Disease. I have received numerous honors and awards throughout my career, including being recognized as one of the Best Doctors in America and receiving the Patients Choice Award. My clinical interests within the field of gynecology include minimally invasive surgery, chronic pelvic pain, menstrual disorders, adnexal masses, pelvic relaxation, vaginitis, sexually transmitted diseases, infertility, cervical dysplasias/HPV, premenstrual syndrome, and menopause. I also have a clinical interest outside of my specialty in interstitial cystitis. With my extensive experience and dedication to providing high-quality care, I strive to help my patients achieve optimal health and well-being.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING
Dr. Bruce Steven Kahn, MD, is a highly skilled and experienced medical professional. He obtained his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in 1990. Dr. Kahn completed his residency at St. Joseph Hospital, where he gained valuable hands-on training and expertise in his field. With his extensive knowledge and dedication to patient care, Dr. Kahn is committed to providing the highest quality medical services to his patients.
